Our “Captain” set sail on his final voyage at the age of 72, after a brief illness. In a remarkable feat of a life well-lived, he went his entire life without ever having his ass kicked. Born in Kearny, NJ, he was a 1970 graduate of Kearny High School, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, raising their family in Little Silver. He started his career working in the family business, Felix and Sons, proudly finishing his 37-year career working for the Port Authority of NY and NJ, as a property manager.  A true Buffett fan, he was always ready to “waste away” in Margaritaville, whether aboard a boat or enjoying a Coors Light. He was our “Captain”, who always guided our family through rough waters, as well as calm seas. His whistling could be heard from miles away, a soundtrack to a life of joy, hard work, and unwavering love for his family. Felix leaves behind a legacy of love, endless humor, and a family that will miss him dearly. As we say goodbye, we imagine him now in calm seas, surrounded by Buffett tunes, with a cooler by his side, still undefeated, still smiling. Sail on Captain, the horizon will never be the same without you.

Felix is pre-deceased by his parents, Felix E. Baguchinsky and Anne Baguchinsky, his brother, John Baguchinsky, his beloved first wife, Michele Baguchinsky, sister-in law, Sharon Baguchinsky, and great-nephew, Noah Goldsmith. He leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Scott, his daughter, Kimberly Lagrotteria, his son, Felix E. Baguchinsky III and wife Lindsay, stepson Matthew Scott and wife Maureen, grandchildren Joseph and Edward Lagrotteria, and brothers Stanley Baguchinsky, Joseph Baguchinsky and wife Laurie, his life-long friends, Jim and Madeline Panzella, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
