Robert Hall, of Iselin, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at JFK University Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones. He was 84.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17, with his brother Richard quickly behind him. Robert met his future wife, Florence O’Grady, in high school. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1960 and married Florence in 1961. They welcomed their daughters, Kelly and Kathleen, before moving to Iselin, NJ and welcoming their son, John. Robert became a Port Authority Police Officer, working as a sergeant and range master.
After 32 years on the force, Robert retired in 1994. He devoted all his time to his family and became a full-time grandpa to his four grandchildren and, later, two granddogs. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed golfing with the Escape Club through the Knights of Columbus, going to the Borgata with Florence and traveling the world with his wife and friends. He was always known to be incredibly social and loved sharing a joke with anyone. He will be greatly missed by all who’ve known him.
Robert was predeceased by his beloved son, John.
