Sullivan, James R., "Jim", 88, of Amityville, formerly of North Massapequa passed away July 4, 2022. Proud Korean War Navy Veteran, serving on the USS McNair. Beloved husband of 67 years to Joan. Loving father of Kevin, Matthew, Robert (Lisa), the late Christopher (Dolores), Peter (Tracy) and Joan. Cherished grandfather Anthony, Kevin Jr., James, Jeanne, the late Tia, Erin, Christopher, Sean, Brian, Justina, Katherine and Christen. Adored great-grandfather of Julian, Aleah, Eli, Azrael, Dylan, Elliot and Zander. Longtime parishioner of St. Kilian RC Church, Farmingdale, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and Past President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Jim's life revolved around his family, he always had a great sense of humor and was the family confidant. He was an extremely hard worker earning his bachelors degree while working full time to support his family. Jim enjoyed playing horseshoes, pickleball and cribbage. The family will receive visitors Friday, July 8th, 2-4 and 7-9pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass Saturday, July 9th, 10:30am at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment following at The Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury.
