Patricia G. Koebel, 92, of Edison, entered into eternal rest January 15, 2022 at the NJ Veterans Home in Menlo Park. She was born in Staten Island and was formerly of Fords, before moving to Edison 20 years ago.
Patricia was an Accountant and Administrative Assistant with the Port of Authority of NY and NJ for 25 years before retiring. She then worked as a self-employed Tax Accountant for 18 years.
She was a former member of the Metuchen/Edison Women’s club and the St. Ann’s Unit at Trinity Episcopal Church in Woodbridge. Patricia was currently a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Metuchen.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband Henry John Koebel in 2005, her son Henry John Koebel Jr. in 1978 and her son-in-law Edward Strauss in 2001. She is survived by her daughters; Patricia Iacone and her husband James of Edison, Jane D. Strauss of Fords, Maria C. Wagner and her husband Alan of Fontana, CA, her grandchildren; Dorothy Hendricks and her husband Matthew, Mary Iacone, Sarah Cawley and her husband Sean, Edward Strauss, step-grandson Justin and his wife Natasha, great grandchildren; Layla Hendricks and Jaxon James Cawley and step great grandchildren: Alicia and Logan Strauss.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at the Flynn and Son/ Koyen Funeral Home 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, Fr. Ed Zelley officiating. Interment will follow in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation is Tuesday 4pm to 8pm at the Funeral Home.
