Louis R. Laragione, 90, of Rochelle Park, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022.
Born and raised in New York City , before settling in Rochelle Park. He graduated magna cum laude in business from Adelphi University in New York .Before retiring, Louis worked for the Port Authority of NY/ NJ for 40 years as an electrical supervisor retiring at the age of 65. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 2842, and the American Legion Post 170, both located in Rochelle Park, and VFW Post 3484 in Saddle Brook. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Rochelle Park. A proud veteran, Louis served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Jean LaRagione (nee Magnussen). Beloved father of Lisa Paladino and her husband Douglas. Treasured grandfather of Danielle Paladino and her fiancé Frankie and Jared Paladino and his girlfriend Alberina. Dear brother of Lorraine Lynch, the late Richard LaRagione, and the late Constance McCoughlin. Louis is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday September,15,2022 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart R.C. Church 12 Terrace Avenue Rochelle Park. Interment immediately following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
