James Clancy, 78, of Albrightsville, PA, and formerly of Jersey City, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
James was a self taught, master mechanic and an avid hot rodder throughout the 1950's and 1960's. He was a firearms safety instructor for the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid sportsman, with many hobbies including hunting, scuba diving, and camping. James worked in the railroad industry for 30 years before retiring from the PATH Railroad as a car inspector, in 2005.
James is survived by his loving children, Jimmy Clancy and his wife Lisa, Brian Clancy and his wife Jo-Ellen. His cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Colleen, Elizabeth, and Shannon. His dear siblings, Patricia Donahue and her husband Mike, Sharon Sleva and her husband Peter, and Sean Clancy and his wife Ann Marie. Also surviving are many beloved relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Monday, July 25, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Services are Tuesday, July 26, 2022, 9:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by an 10:00 AM mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
