Richard J. Aylmer, 65 of Staten Island, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
Born Wednesday, October 5, 1955 in Jackson Heights, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph Aylmer and Dorothy Niedfeld Aylmer.
Richard was a retired Lieutenant from the Port Authority, while on the job he loved what he did. He was a loving husband and father, who had a huge heart and loved to spend time with his family.
Richie had a love for motorcycles and loved to ride his Harley. He was a strong man who put up a fight till the very end. He will be missed by many.
Richard was the beloved husband of 40 years to Diane. Loving father to Nicole and Danielle. Cherished uncle to Lisa and Amy. Richard is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Rd Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
