Kevin T. McKenna, 76, passed away peacefully May 24, 2021 at home in Barnegat. Born and raised in Bayonne, he has been residing in Barnegat for 16 years.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit Tuesday, 6/1, from 4-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Ave. West, Cranford, N.J., 07016. A Mass will be held Wednesday 10 am at St. Michael’s Church, in Cranford.
Kevin was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having enlisted in 1967, he was stationed at the Navy Photographic Center in Washington D.C. for several years before his discharge in 1972. He worked for over 35 years with the Port Authority, and after retirement from the Port Authority, served as a Commissioner on the Hudson County Board of Taxation. He enjoyed boating, traveling, and was active with the Bayonne Little League and the Holy Family Father’s Club.
He was predeceased by his brothers John and Michael McKenna, and his sister Margaret Boyle. Surviving are his devoted wife, Denise (nee Kane); his beloved children, son, Kevin J. McKenna (Sharon) and daughter, Jennifer Soyka (Andrew); his loving grandchildren, Andrew, Kevin, Liam, Colin, Owen, and Brian; His sisters, Mary Fossella and Theresa Colbath; as well as many nieces and nephews.
