Pasqualino 'Pat' Rizzo
Happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren, Pasqualino "Pat" Rizzo, devoted husband, father, and grandfather of Tottenville, Staten Island, N.Y., passed away on Friday, Oct, 13, 2017. Pat, the son of the late Albert and Anna Rizzo, immigrants of Sicily, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and raised in Queens, N.Y.

As a child, Pat taught himself to speak English and in his teenage years became skilled in various trades. Pat worked for the Port Authority of NY & NJ for 26 years as a structural mechanic. He spent six months at Ground Zero working on the cleanup after Sept. 11, 2001.

Father of three, Pat is survived and remembered by his loving wife of 39 years, Margaret (nee Fazzia), his sons, Frank and Albert (Kimberly) and his daughter, Rebecca. Grandfather to his 10 grandchildren and a baby boy to arrive next month, he will be affectionately remembered as "Pa."
In his spare time, Pat enjoyed cooking, teaching himself to play the guitar, walking his beloved dog, Maya, and working around the house. Most of all, Pat loved spending time with his grandchildren and was at his happiest when he was surrounded by them all.

A remembrance of his life was held Monday and continues today, Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Scalia Funeral Home, 28 Eltingville Boulevard, Staten Island, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 7396 Amboy Road, Staten Island, N.Y.  Online condolences may be made to the family at
