Hauslen, Robert Albin 85, passed away on April 18, 2010 of Ledgewood, NJ. He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife Jean Hauslen (nee Jehlen); daughter Kim and husband Ron Durante; daughter Karen and husband Tim Haynes, predeceased daughter Kerry and grandchildren Jennifer, Megan, Erica, Kelly and Michael.

Bob proudly served our country in WWII aboard a destroyer in the Pacific and in landing troops for the D-Day invasion at Normandy. He earned his BS Degree at Vanderbilt University followed by his MS Degree at Stevens Institute of Technology. Bob worked most of his career at the Port Authority of NY & NJ and was considered an industry expert regarding automated tunnel and bridge toll systems. He was a prime mover in the development of today's EZ Pass technology.

Bob was able to enjoy retirement at the early age of 55. Bob was involved in the Northern NJ area acting community, serving as head of the Ramsey Players Theatrical group and was instrumental in many productions for the Small Town & Fancy Players in Mahwah, NJ. He was also an active member of the Roxbury Seniors Club.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 PM & Thursday from 11 AM -12 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 12 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
