In Memoriam



Frank Joseph Borbotti of Lakewood, NJ, entered eternal life on June 4, 2009. Born in Newark, Frank resided in Newark and West Orange before moving to the Four Seasons Spa and Country Club, Lakewood.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and served as a gunner on 5 Merchant Marine Ships. He was happily married for 58 years to his beloved wife Gertrude "Dee" (nee Cirrito) Borbotti. Frank was employed for 42 years in the SEMAC Division of Port Authority of NY & NJ, retiring in 1990. While with the Port Authority he received recognition and awards for designs he and fellow co-worker submitted. During his employment he received commendations for heroism in the rescue of two small boys from drowning and a second time for rescuing a man from drowning.

Very active in his community, he was a member of NewsLetter, Men's Club, Buon Amici Club and Italian Cultural Club. Also a member of the Toms River American Legion and Brick Elks BOPE 2151. He was a communicant of St. Dominic's RC Church, Brick. Frank was a giving person who would help anyone in need for his family, friends and neighbors and will be missed by all who shared his life.

He is survived by his wife, Dee; sister, Marietta Suppa; brother, Robert Borbotti; step sisters and brothers in law, Lily & Al Blanche, Rose & Al Porcella and Lois Klepchick; sisters in law and brothers in laws, Ret. Col. Joseph & Loni Cirrito, Charles Cirrito, Marilyn & Jack Tidaback; and many nieces, nephew, grand nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Sunday 1-5 PM at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River, NJ. Funeral Mass Monday 10:00am at St. Dominic's RC Church, Brick. Arrive at the funeral home 8:30am. Entombment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
