Subject: Obituary Advisory, Dennis Vignola
some sad news to report. Dennis Vignola died last
night. There's a lesson in this for all of us. A few
years after leaving the PA, Dennis started experiencing
neurological problems that greatly affected his ability
to function in the workplace. His condition steadily
got worse and affected all aspects of his life. Dennis
was blessed to have his wife Serena, who stayed by his
side, took care of him and fought the medical
establishment to find him help.
months (perhaps years) of visiting doctors and
hospitals, it was determined that Dennis had long
undiagnosed Lyme Disease that affected his brain and was
largely irreversible. I will choose to remember Dennis
as the intelligent, thoughtful and genuinely funny
person that he was when we worked together at the PA.
He was a good friend and I will miss him.
survived by his wife Serena and his twin boys Dennis and
Michael. If you are so moved, I know Serena would
appreciate a card and any remembrance of Dennis you
would care to share.
Dennis worked with many in the PA starting in HR, TB&T,
WT, Aviation. Please pass this on to others that would
want to know.
I will retain a copy of John Jacoby's e-mail, please
contact me if you want the home address of Serena, I did
not print it above because I did not want her home
address posted on a public website.
